Kim Kardashian’s wedding dress is essentially the same one from “Bride Wars”

More photos of Kim Kardashian's Vera Wang wedding gown have emerged, courtesy of People magazine, and we can see the strapless sweetheart neckline, textured bodice, and bountiful tulle skirt. It's basically your over-the-top Disney-style princess dress. We knew we had seen that design before, and the sleuths at US Weekly figured it out. Kim's dress looks just like the Vera Wang gown Kate Hudson wore in "Bride Wars"!

The 2009 film depicts Kate Hudson as a bridezilla competing with her best friend for the perfect wedding. While Hudson's character wore a dusty purple sash around her waist, the similarities are uncanny. At the time, costume designer Karen Patch told Brides magazine, "The idea for [Kate's] dress was that she was the iconic bride—the bride on the top of the wedding cake. She was the bride who could have anything she wanted."

Sounds a lot like Kim Kardashian, who had not one but three Vera Wang dresses on her big day and managed to rake in $18 million for getting hitched. Maybe "Bride Wars" serves as inspiration for Kardashian's wedding, which some people say rivaled the royal wedding (we'd have to politely disagree).
