King Charles and Queen Camilla Attend Church at Sandringham

In the wake of his cancer diagnosis, King Charles has been staying at the royal family's private estate at Sandringham.

Yesterday, he and Queen Camilla were pictured walking the Church of St Mary Magdalene, the church on the property, and waved to onlookers. It was Charles's second appearance following his cancer news; he was also spotted departing London last week.

The outing comes in the wake of Charles releasing a personal message about his diagnosis, saying Saturday evening, "I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days. As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement."

Queen Camilla has continued to keep up her normal schedule of engagements, and at event last week, she said of Charles, "He is doing extremely well under the circumstances. We are very touched by all of the letters and messages." Similarly, at an event last week, Prince William said, "I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you, also, for the kind messages of support for Catherine and for my father, especially in recent days. It means a great deal to us all."

Though King Charles has been seen publicly following his hospitalization and diagnosis, Kate Middleton, who was hospitalized for abdominal surgery last month, has yet to be pictured—she is recuperating at home at Adelaide Cottage, but reportedly is spending some time at Anmer Hall with William and their three children.
