Kourtney thanks doctors for "saving her unborn baby's life" in emotional new post
Kourtney Kardashian Barker, who is pregnant with her fourth child, has shared an emotional post thanking doctors for saving her unborn baby's life, and expressing her gratitude to her husband, Travis Barker, for rushing to be by her side.
Fans of the couple became concerned about the welfare of Kourtney (and the couple's baby) after Travis had to cut short his time on tour with his band, Blink-182, due to an 'urgent family issue'.
Now, in a new Instagram post, the eldest of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings (who is preparing to welcome a baby boy), shared how shocked she was after having three easy, straightforward pregnancies with her other children, Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8. Kourtney did not specify the medical details of what happened, but explained that she needed "urgent fetal surgery".
"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life," Kourtney wrote in a caption alongside a poignant black and white image, showing her hand with a
cannula attached, intertwined with Travis'. "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."
Kourtney then reflected back on her other experiences of pregnancy, writing: "As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.
"Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. 🙏🏼🤍"
Travis also shared the post on his Instagram Stories.
