Krispy Kreme’s New Summer Doughnuts Are Here

And you can score a free treat on July 4.

As Dolly Parton says, there's "No Good Way of Saying Good Bye," but the Krispy Kreme Dolly Parton Collection, with doughnuts decorated and flavored as spectacularly as the country music icon, has ended its limited-time run. But that’s the way it goes with Krispy Kreme collections. This year we’ve already seen the introduction—and disappearance—of other collections such as the Hershey’s Chocomania doughnuts and the Spring Minis Collection.

But if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Krispy Kreme is that when one collection disappears, another one is sure to follow very shortly on its heels. Considering the holiday that's happening in two weeks, it’s not hard to guess what the theme of the doughnut shop's next collection will be.

Krispy Kreme’s Star Spangled Sweetness Collection

For a limited time, Krispy Kreme is becoming the “land of the sweet and the home of the glazed” with its Star Spangled Sweetness Collection, comprised of new and returning fan-favorite flavors.

Starting June 21 at participating shops, doughnut lovers can get these patriotic doughnuts in a custom red, white, and blue box:

• The New Firework Cookies & Kreme: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme filling, hand-dipped in red icing, and decorated with a blue icing swirl and rocket candy piece. 
  The New Cotton Candy Sparkler Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut hand-dipped in blue icing and cotton candy sugar and decorated with white and red buttercream dollops. 
  The Returning Freedom Flag Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut hand-dipped in white icing and decorated with patriotic red icing stripes and blue and gold sprinkles.

Star Spangled Sweetness doughnuts will also be available in a six-count box delivered fresh daily to select retailers.

Get a Free Krispy Kreme Doughnut on the Fourth of July

On July 4th, customers who wear red, white, and blue to participating Krispy Kreme locations get a free Original Glazed doughnut, no purchase necessary.  That’s a pretty sweet deal, and you don’t even have to buy the Sweetness Collection to get it—although you might want to as your contribution to the Fourth of July BBQ.
