Kristen Stewart is out at the Cannes Film Festival—and bringing her best Chanel ensembles to France. The Crimes of the Future actress attended the film's premiere and photo call in two stunning outfits. Stewart's film Crimes of the Future got both a 7-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival, and some people walking out of the screening because they couldn't handle seeing the science fiction horror drama on screen, Variety reports.

Variety shared the film's synopsis from Neon, which reads, “As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission—to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.”

Stewart herself spoke at Cannes about how strange the film was to make. Vulture's feature writer Rachel Handler tweeted that at a Crimes of the Future press conference, Stewart said, when discussing the complex allegory of the film, “We spent every day after work being like, ‘What the fuck are we doing?’”
