Kroger’s Christmas Hours May Send Shoppers into a Frenzy
We’re deep in the holiday season which means gift giving, festive parties, and all around holiday cheer. If you’re anything like me, you also look forward to the delicious holiday foods and treats. (I’m talking about spending cozy nights in with homemade hot cocoa or hot buttered apple cider, baking holiday cookies, and decorating gingerbread houses.)
Whatever activities you’re getting up to will likely require a trip to the grocery store. Thankfully, Kroger has everything you need whether you’re hosting a lavish Christmas dinner or more laid-back Christmas morning brunch. But if you need to head out to grab any last minute items for those Christmas festivities, you’ll want to know if the store is open before making the journey.
This year, Christmas Day falls on a Wednesday (December 25), and all Kroger stores will be closed for the holiday as confirmed by a statement on the store’s website. On Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24), most Kroger pharmacies will close at 4 p.m. while the stores and fuel centers will close at 6 p.m. Normal operating hours will resume the day after Christmas (Thursday, December 26).
So if Kroger is your favorite place to shop, give yourself enough time to plan ahead, prep your menus, and get what you need before the big day. For any first-time shoppers, the store has plenty of private label goods, delicious ready-to-eat items, and aims to support local procurers where possible — all at competitive prices. You can also score some incredible deals in the “manager’s specials” section.
Plus, Kroger sells a lot more than just groceries. Many locations sell alcohol and kitchen appliances. So if you’ve been eyeing a new mixer or kitchen torch for that Christmas dessert recipe you’re trying out this year (cardamom crème brûlée pie anyone?), you can get everything you need at Kroger. Just make sure to get there early.
