Kylie Jenner Is a Sexy Rainbow Fish in This Silver See-Through Dress

Kylie Jenner looked soaked-to-the-skin when she arrived at the Maison Margiela spring/summer 2024 Couture show on January 25, but her “wet” look nothing to do with the light Paris showers that sent more cowardly show-goers running for cover.

By all appearances, it was sheer coincidence that Jenner chose her scaly, see-through silver dress, which she paired with sheer opera gloves, for the rainy occasion. (I was delighted, nonetheless, by the photos of her handlers rushing to shield her faux rain-slicked look from the real rain with umbrellas.) Jenner's big sister Kim Kardashian also attended the show in a sea-worthy look, posing with matriarch Kris Jenner and her lil' sis in a body-hugging cut-out dress from the atelier. Standing side-by-side, Kardashian was giving the “mermaid caught in the fisherman's net” to Jenner's Rainbow Fish. Momager Kris, as usual, was all business in a black, weather-appropriate coat.

As if the iridescent paillettes on Jenner's dress weren't already driving home the Rainbow Fish similarities, the 26-year-old finished her ensemble with wet-look hair. With a heavy helping of gel and what appears to be some finger-combing, the makeup mogul achieved the easy, fresh-out-of-the-shower version of the wet look—as opposed to a more dramatic, slicked-back style.

This is the same Kylie Jenner who recently took “lazy girl” hair to the next level when she undid her prom updo while seated front row at the Jean Paul Gaultier show earlier this week. Are we entering a period of no-hairstyle hairstyles? In the vein of no-makeup makeup? Because I can get behind this.
