It’s certainly no secret that Kylie Jenner lives in the lap of luxury; the Kylie Cosmetics mogul is quite literally a billionaire. But keeping in mind the current global climate, her followers haven’t taken too kindly to the arguably ostentatious gifts given to her daughter, Stormi, for her third birthday.

The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star took to her Instagram story over the weekend to document Stormi’s grand birthday celebration, and show off some of her daughter’s lavish gifts. Included in the birthday haul was a collection of sneakers which featured toddler-sized versions of popular Nike merchandise including Air Jordans, Nike Dunks, styles from the brand’s Off-White x Rubber Dunk collection, and Stussy x Air Force 1s, each pair ranging between $100 to $300.

“My girl is so spoiled,” Jenner captioned the photo of the 17 pairs of sneakers which appear to have been a gift from Nike, worth an estimated $1,500 USD.

Considering her daughter’s age, some fans seem to believe that accepting an elaborate collection of sneakers — something she will inevitably outgrow in the coming months — and essentially, bragging about it on Instagram is an insult to parents that are unable to or struggle to provide the essentials for their children.

“Some kids don’t have shoes or their own bed,” one person tweeted. “This is insulting.”

“Nike and Jordan sending Kylie Jenner’s three-year-old daughter 17 pairs of trainers is crazy to me,” another fan wrote.

Some fans even aimed their fire at the source, tweeting directly at Nike for giving away 17 pairs of shoes to a billionaire’s daughter, when there are countless children who need it more.

“@Nike can send a toddler (Kylie Jenner’s daughter) 17 pairs of sneakers for her birthday for free but can’t give shoes to the needy. Got it,” someone tweeted.

If you’ve been following Jenner on social media through the years, then you probably already know that Stormi’s sneaker collection is a drop in the bucket compared to some of the other, much pricier gifts she has been given in the past.

Aside from an extensive wardrobe of designer clothes, Stormi owns a $27,000 Hermès Kelly handbag, and a recently received a $12,000 Hermès backpack for her first day fo school (even though she’s homeschooled).
