Lady Gaga’s fans are in a frenzy — and it has nothing to do with her three Grammy wins.
On Sunday night, the actress and singer sparked rumours of a breakup after she arrived solo on the Grammy red carpet without her engagement ring.
The absence of the $400,000 pink sparkler from the star’s fiancé, talent agent Christian Carino, sent fans into overdrive on social media, with many wondering if the pair have called it quits.
“Lady Gaga not wearing her engagement ring for the first time after taking it with her everywhere,” one fan tweeted.
I’m way too concerned about Lady Gaga not wearing her engagement ring tonight. I just want her to be happy 😫😫😫 #imnotevenwatchingthegrammys

The couple were first spotted together during preparation for Gaga’s Super Bowl performance in February 2017. The pair kept their relationship under wraps and quietly became engaged just six months after they began dating.
Just last month Gaga and Carino were in full-PDA mode at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, but now, the “Born This Way” songstress no longer follows Carino on Instagram.
Fans of Gaga’s electrifying chemistry with her “A Star is Born” co-star Bradley Cooper hoped the missing engagement ring was a sign that an off-screen romance is in the cards for the on-screen pair.

@ladygaga isn’t wearing her engagement ring and we’re all hoping she finally left grandpa Christian to be with her true love, daddy Bradley.

First thing I noticed was Lady Gaga was not wearing her engagement ring… Then I realized her dude wasn't with her. Am I going to get my Gaga/Bradley after all? Yes, I'm invested in this. 💁♀️ pic.twitter.com/7Q2N35LKBe

The 32-year-old powerhouse picked up three awards, two for her work in the film “A Star is Born,” as well as Best Solo Pop Performance for her album, “Joanne.”
In her acceptance speech, the star made no mention of Carino, instead using her airtime to address the importance of mental health awareness.
“I gotta thank God, thank you for looking out for me. Thank you for my family at home, I love you,” Gaga told the audience. “If I don’t get another chance to say this: I just want to say I’m so proud to be a part of a movie that addresses mental health issues. They’re so important. And a lot of artists deal with that and we got to take care of each other. So if you see somebody that’s hurting don’t look away. And if you’re hurting, even if it might be hard, try to find that bravery within yourself to dive deep and go tell somebody and take them up in your head with you. I love you. Thank you so much to the Grammys.”
