LCF's Undergraduate Class of 2024 Co-Signs Indie Sleaze as the Hottest Craze

The 2024 undergraduate Class of London College of Fashion (LCF) has come to an end, and what better way to celebrate than a graduation showcase. This week-long event is devoted to showcasing the creative work of its students and will take place at Protein Studios in the heart of East London, providing a sneak peek into the future of fashion as imagined by our next generation of fashion leaders.

The week started with LCF's undergraduate catwalk show, exhibiting the graduating 131 students from the BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Menswear and BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear courses. Amidst friends, family, course leaders and industry professionals, a soft, techno soundtrack set the mood as the students' work revealed a strong grunge indie sleaze aesthetic -- think draperage, dark leather, cropped jackets and fur. Some standout designers included Sophie Johnstone, Lucas Lee and Archie Hyde, pushing forward the resurgence of the mid-'00s grunge aesthetic.
