Sure, being on the cover of Vogue is a big deal. But to Lenny Kravitz, that’s just a piece of the puzzle. His daughter Zoë is British Vogue’s October cover girl, and Lenny is one proud papa. But not just because she appears on the cover of the famed publication’s British edition, but because of how she appears on the cover.

The singer and actor shared a photo of the magazine on his Instagram, explaining why he was so proud of his only child in the caption. “Baby girl. I’m not proud of you because you are on the cover of Vogue;” he began. “I’m proud of you because you are on the cover of Vogue being exactly who you are.”

He’s probably referencing the unconventionality of the cover: Zoë is not all glammed up like a lot of cover models. In fact, she looks utterly comfortable in her own skin and like she made herself right at home — clearly, she’s a natural cover girl. There is minimal makeup on her relaxed and natural looking face, and her blond pixie hair is tousled. She’s sitting crossed-legged, slumped over in a navy blue and white polka dot spaghetti strap dress, her arm tattoos on display. She’s wearing combat boots instead of stilettos.

We’d have to agree with Lenny — Zoë managed to look like herself on the cover of one of the most high-end magazines out there, which is not an easy task.

And social media agrees. “Fearless and sweet like you,” one follower commented on Lenny’s post. “Stunningly beautiful and classy young lady,” wrote another. One commenter pointed out her “gorgeous, natural beauty,” while another mentioned her “amazing bone structure.”

This follower said it perfectly: “As a parent myself that’s rewarding! To [raise] a child capable to be just who they are without fear in a society full of shallow souls and stupid rules. You and Lisa definitely [raised] a beautiful human being.”

Others were moved by his loving caption. “Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree — love Lenny’s words!” one commenter gushed. “The love between a father and daughter, so beautiful,” wrote another. “What a beautiful words! You’re amazing.”

Many British Vogue followers are excited by this edgy cover, which is a digression for the magazine. “Rock it Vogue,” wrote one fan. “Bae for life. I’ll be purchasing Vogue for the first time in ages. This is how you bail a cover!” said another. “Obsessed with the sharp aesthetic,” wrote a third.

The proud actress also shared the image, and her fans are loving the natural look. “Love ya natural hair,” someone commented. “Beautiful! Way to be your effortless self,” wrote another.
