Happy October, Leo. This month brings an eclipse that could lead to misunderstandings, a big shift from Pluto, plus Halloween and spooky Scorpio season. During September, Uranus went retrograde, asking you to reevaluate what recognition means for you. You're likely still thinking about your career and future when we're rocked with a Libra new moon and solar eclipse affecting your 3rd House of Communication on Wednesday, October 2. Eclipses are high-octane cosmic occurrences that can lead to drama. With this one affecting your 3rd House while you're already stressed about work, beware of butting heads with someone close to you. Practice lots of self-soothing and make sure to get plenty of sleep around the eclipse to lower the chance of drama.
On Wednesday, October 9, Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, goes retrograde, affecting your 11th House of Friendship. This backward dance will last until February 2025. The effects aren't as pronounced as Mercury retrograde, but you will likely see your friend group growing and shifting. You may become close with an acquaintance and, on a more challenging note, start to drift away from old friends. Life is about embracing change and allowing love to shift and evolve, so be gentle with yourself if this occurs.
Shortly after Jupiter goes retrograde, Pluto, the planet of transformation, goes direct on Friday, October 11. With Pluto direct in your 6th House of Health, you'll feel inspired to make a change to your appearance, whether that's changing your hair color for autumn or getting a cute new piercing. Everyone is paying a lot of attention to Pluto right now because it's currently revisiting Capricorn for the last time before settling into Aquarius in November all the way through 2043. On a global scale, this sees a refocusing from the individual to the community. Pluto first moved into Capricorn back in 2008, and we are currently saying goodbye to that chapter. Think back to your life in 2008, which is the year Pluto moved into Capricorn. Did any new chapters start? That will now be coming to a close, with a welcome new cycle starting.
Turning our attention back to what's happening on a smaller scale, on Sunday, October 13, the divine messenger Mercury shifts into intense Scorpio, affecting your 4th House of Home and Family. While not as tumultuous as the eclipse, this transit could be a little bumpy as it brings any disagreements at home, whether with roommates, partners, or anyone who feels like home, to the surface. While this can be uncomfortable, it ultimately helps you work through unresolved issues to make your home life happier.
If you're dating or hooking up with someone, prepare for sparks to fly when lover Venus shifts into your pleasurable 5th House on Thursday, October 17. In color magic, red is for passion, and pink is for sweet affection. Venus in your 5th House blends these two energies. Casual hook-ups are infused with feelings and affection, and any long-term stagnant relationships get an injection of passion.
For the next few weeks, the sun is in your sexy 8th House. Leos do love attention, and you'll get plenty of it.
Know that you might feel a bit brooding when the sky lights up with an Aries full moon on Thursday, October 17. Full moons are intense times of manifestation.
