After watching Virgin River season three, we had a million questions about Paige Lassiter, who went into hiding after confiding in Preacher. The same goes for the actress who plays the character, Lexa Doig. If she looks familiar, it’s probably because the 49-year-old has quite an impressive resume.

In honor of the season four premiere, here’s everything you need to know about Virgin River star Lexa Doig.

1. Who is Lexa Doig?

She’s a talented actress, who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Doig caught the acting bug at a young age after seeing a local production of Porgy and Bess. She currently resides in Vancouver with her husband, and their two children: Mia and Samuel.

2. Does she play Paige on 'Virgin River'?

That’s correct. Doig portrays Paige Lassiter, who moves to Virgin River with her son, Christopher (Chase Petriw), in an attempt to escape her abusive husband. Although she forms a strong friendship with Preacher (Colin Lawrence), she’s forced to flee the small town when she’s tracked down by Wes (Steve Bacic). Unfortunately, Paige is MIA in season three, but she’s expected to return in the upcoming installment.

3. What else has she been in?

Doig is no stranger to the small screen. Although she’s appeared in several shows—like Flash Gordon, Traders, CI5: The New Professionals, Continuum, Arctic Air, The 4400 and Stargate SG-1— Doig is widely recognized for playing Sally Allison in Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, Talia al Ghul in Arrow and Deann Anderson in The Arrangement. Oh, and she also portrayed the titular character in the sci-fi series Andromeda.
