Lily Allen Says She's Been Leaning on Her Daughters Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 12, amid 'Tough' Moment: 'We Are a Support Network'
The singer shares her daughters with ex Sam Cooper
Lily Allen has been leaning on her daughters during a tough time.
On an episode of her BBC podcast Miss Me? with co-host Miquita Oliver, the singer, 39, spoke about how difficult parenting can be when you're going through something hard. Allen shares her daughters Marnie, 12, and Ethel, 13, with ex-husband Sam Cooper.
"I can say, it's really tough – they are always there and you have to be present and there for them," Allen shared.
"And that's okay, when things in life are going well and you're coping, it's really nice to have the kids around. They're a joy. One of the main sources of joy in one's life," she added.

However, Allen said that when things aren't going well and "life is tough," it's really hard to "hold things together."
"We are a support network for each other and encourage each other to talk about our feelings but I think the main thing is telling them we're going to get through it and be fine," the "F--- You" singer said.
Elsewhere in the podcast, Allen said she's "finding it really hard to be interested in anything" at the moment as she discussed the fact she hadn't seen Sunday's 2025 Golden Globes.
"I'm just so... I'm really not in a good place," the singer told Oliver. "I know I've been talking about it for months, but I've been spiraling and spiraling and spiraling and it's got out of control."
The mother of two — who married husband David Harbour, 49, in 2020 — continued, "I just can't concentrate on anything except the pain that I'm going through."
"It's really, really hard," she added, confirming she was going to be taking a bit of a break from her show.
