Lisa Makes Her Oscars Debut In Tuxedo Dress ANGELA WEISS

Just two days after the release of her album Alter Ego, Lisa was taking the stage at last night's 2025 Oscars. And the K-pop singer dressed for the milestone, wearing a dramatic Markgong tuxedo on the red carpet for her first-ever Academy Awards. She had her hair styled half up, half down and accessorised with rings and a red flower pin.

This is a huge year for Lisa, as she just made her acting debut in the third season of Mike White’s hit HBO show The White Lotus, which is airing now. Lisa spoke to ELLE US in its September issue about taking on the project.

When she received the call that she had been cast, 'I think I cried,' she recalled. 'I was with my friends, my mum’s friends, and my mum as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it. I’m super excited and nervous, because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, "Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?"'

Lisa has taken acting classes. Though she admits that the craft is 'pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos...I’m excited for my fans to see [the show].'

When asked what advice she’d give to herself at the start of her career as a 13-year-old K-pop trainee in light of all her success, Lisa replied with a laugh, 'I’d say, "Let her suffer." I wouldn’t spoil any of this. I’d say, "Don’t think too much about the future. Just focus on what you’re doing right now. But don’t quit. Just don’t quit."'
