Lisa Vanderpump Gets Candid About Becoming a Grandmother (Nanny Pinky) & Meeting the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Babies
Lisa Vanderpump has a grandchild on the way and she can’t contain her excitement.
PureWow recently sat down for a chat with the TV personality to discuss her partnership with Febreeze and the launch of Febreze Unstopables TOUCH Fabric Refresher. Per a press release, this first-of-its-kind fabric spray combines odor elimination with touch-activated scent technology, storing scent in your fabrics to release a burst of freshness every time it’s touched.
During the interview, the restaurant owner and entrepreneur spoke candidly about the difficulties she’s faced over the last few years (in addition to the pandemic). Luckily, her daughter Pandora’s pregnancy is the happy news she needed.
“Life’s up and down and very turbulent. I had a very rough three years, losing my brother, my mother and then Giggy,” Vanderpump revealed. “And now to have a new baby on the way is very exciting.”
Of course, we had to ask what she planned on having her grandchild call her (and it looks like “Grandma” is out of the question).
“I think we always thought that I would be Nanny Pinky,” she revealed. “Nanny Kay was my grandmother who died when she was 100 but was very close to me and lived on and off with us for 25 years. So, I always liked Nanny—it's softer. Grandma sounds a little austere. And obviously, Pinky because I’m passionate about the color. I’m a pink person.”
While we were on the topic, Vanderpump also revealed that she has met the generation of the Vanderpump Rules babies. (If you didn’t know, series stars Stassi Stassi Schroeder, Lala Kent, Brittany Cartwright and Scheana Shay all welcomed their first child over the last year.) “On the Vanderpump Rules set we were all tested for covid every day,” Vanderpump said. “So, I got to meet the babies and have a good old squeeze of them. I bought them lots of lovely presents with their names on them. It was very important to me.”
Congrats, Nanny Pinky!
