Loup Charmant Taps Rachel Decker as Designer and Creative Director
Rachel Decker has been named designer and creative director of Loup Charmant, the Brooklyn-based luxury resort and sportswear label. She takes the helm from previous owner Kee Edwards.
Last October, Decker acquired the name, intellectual property and all the physical and digital assets of the brand from Edwards, who founded the company in 2006. The brand’s mission has been to bring organic heirloom cottons and natural fibers into the luxury space.

Loup Charmant primarily sells direct-to-consumer.
“I’m happy to announce that after 17 years of growing and enjoying Loup Charmant, I’ve moved on to another fulfilling life path,” said Edwards, who is pursuing a new career in health coaching. “I know Rachel is honored to be taking the reins and has some lovely new things coming and will be putting her heart into all she’s creating.”
Decker was previously head of production and development for Loup Charmant under Kee from 2015 to 2021. In that role she coordinated the development of seasonal collections as an integral part of the design team, as well as managed overseas and domestic production for the online store and worldwide retailers. Since 2021 she has worked in bridal and parallel women’s ready-to-wear brands.
“I’m really looking forward to bringing my new skill set and knowledge to Loup Charmant, a brand I love and have always cared for as my own,” said Decker. “Loup Charmant styles are truly the perfect ‘throw-on’ piece that everyone craves, while still allowing you to feel sexy and elegant without the fuss.”
Decker plans to grow the wholesale business, while expanding its direct-to-consumer channel. In the past, the brand sold to Matches.
Decker’s first efforts as designer and creative director are a spring 2024 capsule and a fall 2024 collection, which will include a new category, knitwear. She will build upon the brand’s loungewear sets and introduce a cotton-alpaca blend into their bestselling blouse body and a straight-leg pull-on pant. In addition to knitwear, Loup Charmant has expanded into silk and occasion dressing.
