Lululemon can hardly keep these flared leggings in stock, so I tried them for myself

Lululemon is known for their iconic leggings, which have been spotted on everyone from Selena Gomez to Meghan Markle over the years. However, long before the Align leggings took the world by storm, the brand's flared Groove Pants were all the rage among shoppers.
Now that we're getting reacquainted with all of the biggest fashion trends from the early '00s, it only makes sense that the iconic flared legging (or yoga pants as they have also been called) have once again become Lululemon's latest must-have style.
The pants have been notoriously hard to come by since their relaunch in recent months, so when I saw that Lululemon had restocked the ultra-popular leggings, I knew I had to grab a pair for myself.
Lululemon Groove Super-High-Rise Flared Pant
The details
Like the buttery-soft Align leggings, the latest iteration of the Groove Pant is also made with Lululemon's signature Nulu fabric. Designed to provide a weightless feel during yoga practice and beyond, they offer a soft and comfortable fit.
These pants also feature an ultra high rise and a flared leg, giving them the ultimate throwback style. Currently they're available in sizes 0 to 20 in eight shades, including black, navy blue, olive green, burgundy, and orange.
Many sizes have already sold out in certain colours, so if you're considering investing in a pair, you'll want to shop these pants while you still can.
First impressions
When I first pulled the Groove Pants out of their package, I was happy to find they are just as smooth and soft as the other pairs of Lululemon leggings in my closet. They're made using the brand's ultra soft and lightweight Nulu fabric, which is known for providing a "weightless" feel.
I ordered the pants in my usual Lululemon size and found that they fit perfectly, so there's no need to size up or down in my opinion. One big thing to note is that while extremely comfortable, these leggings are also extremely long.
At 5'3", the 32-inch hem was way too long on me and required a trip to the Lululemon store for a hem before I could wear them. Hemming services are free at Lululemon, but are still somewhat inconvenient if you don't happen to live nearby a store. Plus, since the Groove pants are only offered in one length at the moment, you'll have to consider whether they will work for your frame.
Lululemon also isn't kidding when they say that these pants have a super high rise either. For me, the higher the waistline the better, but others will be warned that the Groove Pant does sit a few inches higher than my belly button.

As the latest must-have product from Lululemon, it's no surprise that the Groove Pant has been hard to keep in stock. It's earned a 4-star rating from more than 1,800 customer reviews, with shoppers of all sizes raving about their flattering and comfortable fit.
"I’m 5’6, 220 and ordered a size 16 - they are perfection. Snug in all the right places without feeling like I’m wearing shape wear. Truly the most perfect leggings I’ve ever owned," reads one review.
"These pants are so flattering and genuine to size. The high waist truly gives you a great figure. I only own one pair but want to buy another in the same colour because I am obsessed," added another.

Since they have a 32.5" inseam, shoppers have said that these pants will fit best on those who are tall or have long legs.
"Really love them, but I really wish you would have different sizing for the legs. 5’2” and these pants don’t mix. I have to get mine hemmed," noted one reviewer.
Verdict
At $98, these Lululemon pants are a splurge for activewear, but one that definitely lives up to the hype if you're able to achieve the right fit. They're consistently selling out, so when you are able to shop them in your size, it's worth jumping at the chance.
