This Lululemon hoodie is my new favourite cozy sweatshirt — here's why
Anyone who knows me knows just how enthusiastic I am about fall. Hot coffee, cozy sweaters and scary movies are my love language. Every year I treat myself to a new oversized hoodie — and for a long time Lululemon All Yours Hoodies reigned supreme.
When these hoodies were discontinued, I couldn't believe — and unfortunately for me, my All Yours Hoodies had been well-loved and well-worn to the point they needed to be thrown out. They were hanging on by a thread — literally.
On the search for something that fulfilled my cozy requirements while also being versatile enough to leave the house in, I began my search for the new, perfect hoodie. Enter the Lululemon Loungeful Hoodie.
I was skeptical that this sweatshirt could compare to my beloved All Yours Hoodie, but I decided to give them a try.
Lululemon Loungeful Hoodie
The details
The Loungeful Hoodie is lightweight and cozy, whether you're spending the day on the couch or running errands.
This hoodie also has Lululemon's four-way stretch technology — which means it fits like it's custom made. Hitting just below the waistband, the Loungeful Hoodie has a relaxed silhouette so you don't have to worry about clinging, tight fabric. The oversized kangaroo pocket helps you keep essentials close by and the hidden card sleeve means you can secure your cards during quick errands.
My no.1 priority when it comes to loungewear? It can't be a fuss to clean. This sweatshirt fits the bill. To clean, simply wash on cold with similar colours and tumble dry.
First impressions
As an All Yours collection loyalist, I was hesitant that I could love another sweatshirt as much. I'm happy to report this hoodie quickly exceeded expectations. The fabric was soft and light, which is crucial for someone like me who likes to lounge while cozily wrapped in blankets.
The material is definitely different from the All Yours Hoodie, but it's equally as comfortable without feeling too heavy. One of my favourite details of this hoodie is the Lululemon insignia stitching. This detail gives an elevated effect, contouring the shape of the laid-back sweater. As someone who doesn't love blatant logos, I love this hint of branding versus an original logo.
My other favourite part of this hoodie is the fabric. Despite being oversized and undeniably cozy, it isn't overbearing. If you were looking for a casual layering piece, this sweatshirt would fit the bill and it's also french-tuck-friendly thanks to the higher pocket and maneuverable material.
'The softest hoodie'
Shoppers loved the fleece blend, breathable fabric and the versatility of this piece with fans taking note of the flattering design details.
"I love this — it's the softest hoodie! I ordered up a few sizes for an extra oversized fit and I could live in this hoodie forever! The material feels amazing. The outside is super smooth and the inside feels like a soft cloud! It looks full/thick but is surprisingly lightweight," raves one review. "I’m 5’8 with a longer torso and the length is perfect. Covers my lower stomach and bum just enough! I want this in more colours now!"
"I particularly like the detailed design features. They're both functional and attractive: extra stitching at the corners of the front pouch, a nice curve on the bottom back of the sweatshirt, the use of fabric sections to make the stylish logo on the back," adds another. 'The search for the perfect hoodie is over'
When it comes to finding the perfect hoodie, it looks like I'm not alone. Lululemon shoppers share my enthusiasm for the apparel unicorn and some are claiming the search for hoodie perfection is finally over.
"I’ve been so underwhelmed by every hoodie in creation, until Loungeful — hoodie perfection. It’s soft and cozy, a good weight without being too stiff or thick. It’s a nice style, relaxed/boxy fit but still flattering, not too short or long, comfortable for any purpose, athletic or casual," shares one shopper. "I have a couple already and will get more as my old hoodies are now gathering dust. Washes well so far, still soft, no pilling. Love, love, love the Loungeful Hoodie!"

The verdict
If you don't think the perfect hoodie exists, I challenge you to try the Lululemon Loungeful Hoodie. A favourite that I reach for every morning and evening when I'm looking to be extra cozy, this piece is in constant rotation in my closet (when it very rarely makes it back into my closet). I'd recommend buying your true size for a relaxed fit — going up one size will result in a much more oversized and cozy look.
Currently available in a light ash grey, black and lavender, this sweater will quickly become a staple for a laid-back look.
