I've been wearing the Wunder Puff Jacket on morning walks and quick errands, but I personally prefer a longer length jacket if I'm spending more than 20 minutes outdoors.

Pros
  • Lightweight, water-resistant
  • Removable hood
  • Fitted cuffs block out wind
Cons
  • Regular length still a bit short for bum coverage
  • Down filling isn't vegan-friendly

As an avid Lululemon shopper, I'm surprised it's taken me this long to give their outerwear a shot — and I have to say I wasn't let down. The Wunder Puff has become my go-to for quicker outings when I don't want to reach for a full-length parka, but still want a jacket that's going to keep me warm (just note that the Wunder Puff uses down, not a down alternative). The thoughtful details like storm cuffs and mini pockets inside the larger pockets make this a functional piece of outerwear too.

My one complaint about this jacket is that it hits at the top of my hips, which isn't my favourite. I'd prefer a few more inches of length to add some more bum coverage, but I do still think this jacket is a solid option for days when I'm not spending too much time outdoors.

Lululemon's Wunder Puff Jacket is ideal for Canada's warmer winter climates or late fall weather.

Pros
  • Detachable hood
  • Insulated, fuzzy pockets
  • Built-in neck shield
Cons
  • Hood snaps can easily detach
  • Not suited for extreme cold

To be honest, Lululemon's Wunder Puff Jacket is equal parts hit and miss for me. In the "hit" category, the jacket has a beautiful, buttery soft exterior and cozy pocket linings for when you're without gloves. I'm a big fan of detachable hoods on winter coats, and the Wunder Puff hood snaps on easily and without bother.

That said, I split my winters between Ontario (cold) and Alberta (extremely cold), and the jacket's 600-fill-power goose-down insulation doesn't cut it for me. If you live in one of Canada's warmer cities, the Wunder Puff Jacket is an excellent option for middle-of-the-road warmth. However, if you're expecting temperatures -10°C and below, you might be better off with one of Lululemon's parkas instead.

The Wunder Puff Long Jacket comes in six colourways.

Pros
  • Cinchable waist
  • Detachable hood
  • Hits mid-calf
Cons
  • May overwhelm smaller frames

I've been searching for the perfect long puffer for years — and I'm always left disappointed. The problem with a long puffer is that it can quickly veer into Michelin Man territory, especially if you're on the shorter side like me.

That's why I was so happy to finally put Lululemon's Wunder Puff Long Jacket to the test. The cinchable waist helps create a flattering silhouette and the fleece pockets, detachable hood and two-way zipper are a nice added touch. While some shoppers suggest to size down, I stuck with my true Lululemon size (a 4) and was happy with the fit. While I could have gone down, I prefer a roomier fit so I can layer sweaters. I stuck with classic black, but if I was shopping again I think I would go for Purple Ash or Roasted Brown for something a bit different.

This puffer is stylish, sleek, and in my opinion, absolutely warm enough for a typical winter day if you live somewhere in southern Ontario. However, shorties beware — I'm 5'4" and this jacket falls mid-calf on me. Unless you're looking for an ankle-length coat, this one might dwarf you if you're under 5'2".
