Consider this official notice, we've all been sleeping on Lupita Nyong'o's incredible style for the A Quiet Place: Day One press tour. ICYMI, the actress has been low-key promoting her role in the upcoming horror thriller for a few months now. She even attended the Oscars back in March with her co-star Joseph Quinn. And while photographs of the duo walking hand in hand down the red carpet together caused some to speculate the pair were dating (spoiler: they're not), it did draw attention to their film, and you know what they say – there's no such thing as bad press.

Now that those rumours have been put to bed and the prequel to John Krasinski's hugely successful franchise is set for release tomorrow [Wednesday 26 June], there's no better time to turn our attention to Lupita's fashionable 'fits. And luckily, it seems she saved her best look for last.

Lupita, alongside her cast mates, all attended a photocall at The Empire State Building to celebrate the release of the film. The location was a fitting choice as the film is set in New York City and follows Lupita's character, Sam, during the early stages of the city's invasion by alien creatures with ultrasonic hearing. Though Lupita took style cues from a very different landmark and film for her ensemble for the day.

Wearing a black blazer leotard and fishnet tights, she looked straight out of Cabaret, the Broadway musical. She added black heeled pumps to her feet and accessorised with a very blingy multi-strand choker style diamond necklace and matching diamond stud earrings.

Cabaret is currently playing in London's West End with Cara Delevingne recently concluding her starring role as Sally Bowles in the production, following turns from Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood, singer Self Esteem, Maude Apatow and Jessie Buckley. Could Lupita be next??
