Fans defend Madonna after 50 Cent mocks singer online: 'Stop picking on women'
50 Cent is receiving backlash after taking to social media to bully Madonna — again.
Over the weekend, the rapper took to Instagram to share a photo of the 63-year-old singer.
"I hope she didn’t make her kids take this picture. LOL at 63, somebody tell her to chill out, please," 50 Cent captioned the photo of Madonna posing on a bed wearing cat-eye sunglasses. The post included three additional images of aliens, suggesting a likeness between them and the singer.
While many humoured the rapper's antics, Madonna fans quickly came to her defence, accusing the rapper of bullying the star.
"Surely, you have something better to do than cyber-bully a 63-year-old woman at your big f—king age," a Madonna fan wrote. "Literally, what is the point of this? Why do you care so much about what she looks like? It's giving obsessed. Find another hobby and let her live her life. This is so tired and unnecessary."
"Stop picking on women," another added.
"Madonna is a legend, leave her be," someone else wrote.
"Why does she gotta chill?" a follower wrote. "I wanna be 63, this rich, and free!"
"This is bullying," one person commented. "Live and let live."
"Nothing against you, but the caption is too much like shame, cause a 63-year-old woman can be still beautiful and sexy if she wants," another penned.
This isn't the first time the rapper made headlines for criticizing Madonna. In November, the hip-hop star shared his thoughts on another one of the singer's photos.
“Yo, this is the funniest shit! Lol.” he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. “That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do like a virgin at 63. she shot out if she doesn’t get her old a— up. Lmfao."
Although the rapper eventually apologized, the "Material Girl" songstress responded with a video calling out the rapper for his "ageist behaviour."
“You were trying to shame me,” she said. “Your apology is fake, it’s bullshit, and it’s not valid. … An apology is not valid if you don’t know what you’re apologizing for. What you should be apologizing for are your misogynistic, sexist, ageist behaviour and remarks.”
