Make It Reign: When that hotline bling

In a 2016 poll, 54 per cent of Canadians said they would rather see Prince Charles abdicate the throne than become King Charles III.

Across the pond, similar polls reveal that a majority of Brits would rather see Prince William succeed Queen Elizabeth II and become king instead of his father.

Charles’s longstanding affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles while he was still married to Princess Diana tarnished his reputation with the British people and royal supporters. In 1993, tapes of the prince’s private conversations with his mistress were released to the public. The subject matter varied from making plans for a romantic rendezvous, to the infamous line of Charles wishing he were his lover’s tampon. This week, we’re reenacting these salacious tapes word by word for your listening pleasure.
