'I don't know what kind of sorcery this is': Beauty lovers are raving about this $26 'pure magic' makeup eraser cloth

Makeup Eraser The Original MakeUp Eraser® Makeup Remover Cloth

I love putting makeup on, but I’ve always hated taking it off.

No matter how hard I scrubbed with makeup removers, stubborn waterproof eyeliner and mascara would always stay around my eyes and I’d wake up in the morning with breakouts left from residual product on my face.

When I first saw the Makeup Eraser, I was skeptical but decided to give it a try — and boy, was I in for a surprise.

I don’t totally understand how the product actually works, but what I do know is that it is the softest, most effective makeup remover I’ve ever used. All you do is wet the cloth, ring it out a bit and swipe at your makeup - and it all comes off. Like magic. You don’t have to scrub at your eyes, you don’t have to use multiple products or cotton pads that you have to throw out. All you do is wet it, rub your face and then throw it in the wash after a few uses. Best of all, this cloth will last you at least 1,000 washes.

“Did you know that 7.6 billion pounds of wipes are thrown into our landfills each year?” says the product description on the Sephora website. “That’s 20 million pounds of makeup wipes a day. Disposable makeup wipes are the third leading cause of waste in our landfills. Join the movement—help save Mother Earth, one less makeup wipe at a time.”

I’m not the only one blown away by this product - here’s what others have said.

“I am impressed — it really works!” raved one happy customer. “It is a 100 per cent polyester cloth with a unique design; it is somehow designed to remove all make-up. Yes, ALL make-up. I wear heavy make-up, Dior waterproof mascara, Kat Von D trooper, primer, foundation, lip stains... the works, and it removes it all! It's great for the environment and doesn't leave a film that disposable wipes give. I find it very calming on my face.”

“You know that scene where Mulan takes off her makeup?” joked another. “This is probably what she used.”

“When I first saw this product I thought "it's probably just a piece of cloth...but I guess I'll try it?" MY GOD. I don't know what kind of sorcery this is, but this is no piece of cloth,” raved one reviewer. “It's pure magic. It actually get all your makeup off in such a little amount of effort. Eyeliner? One swipe girl. Waterproof mascara? Not a problem. You will save so much money never having to buy make up remover wipes again. Get this mythical cut of godly fabric.”
