Man threw his 1-month-old son into ceiling fan because he wouldn't stop crying

An Oklahoma father has been charged with six counts of child abuse after he threw his 1-month-old son into a ceiling fan because the infant would not stop crying.
Muskogee police officers say that 24-year-old Robert Jones, Jr. confessed to grabbing his son by the throat, shaking him, smothering him, slamming him into a changing table, throwing him into a running ceiling fan and dropping him on the bathroom floor to stop the newborn's screaming.

Jones and the baby's mother took the infant to a Tulsa, Oklahoma, hospital on August 20 after he began having seizures due to the repeated brutal beatings.
Nurses discovered the infant, who was in critical condition by the time he arrived at the emergency room, was suffering from two skull fractures and had blood pooling around his brain.
Noting that the injuries were consistent with child abuse, hospital staff alerted authorities, who confirmed their worst suspicions.
"These injuries are considered to be non-accidental injuries," Muskogee Police Department investigator James Poffel wrote in an affidavit obtained by Tulsa World. "And due to (the infant's) declining medical condition, he was transported to Saint Francis Tulsa."
Jones is currently being held in Muskogee County Jail on a $1 million dollar bond.
The baby boy is reportedly still listed in critical condition.
