I can't believe this flattering and floaty M&S summer dress is now only £30
It's not everyday you find a dress that fits in all the right places, hangs beautifully, cinches you in at the waist and comes with pockets. That's right, after trying on a total of six summer dresses from Marks & Spencer (and becoming somewhat clammy during the process), *this* was the very pick that surprised me the most — not just for its flattering cut and stylish details, but for its comfort and practicality.
Let me introduce you to M&S's Pure Cotton Textured Midi Tiered Dress, which is up for grabs in green and black. The floaty green number has even just gone into the M&S up to 50% off sale, reduced from £45 to just £30.
Effortless in style and beyond easy to throw on, it's the sort of dress you'll find yourself reaching for again and again throughout the warmer months, and questioning why you hadn't bought it sooner.

I love nothing more than a dress I can throw-on but still look put-together, especially during the holiday season. And this dress from M&S's Per Una collection, does just that.
When first trying it on, it glided over my body, loosely defining my curves without bringing attention to any of my problem areas. The full, tiered skirt hung beautifully and was very easy to move in, while the short puff sleeves and airy bodice looked understatedly chic and felt incredibly comfortable.
My favourite feature, though, had to be the adjustable neckline. Designed with a classic v-neck and soft, collarless trim, the front of the dress comes with two buttons which you can choose to have buttoned up or left open. As someone with a fuller bust, I really appreciated being able to control how much skin or cleavage I wanted on show, and loved how comfortably it sat on my chest.
Refusing to stop there, and much to my delight, there's even pockets. Armed with two handy pockets on either side of the dress and complete with a detachable tie belt, it's fair to say this dress ticks all the necessary boxes for both functionality and style.
I styled it with a Straw Top Handle Tote Bag and trainers for a chic daytime look, but can picture it working just as well for a hot summer's evening teamed with a pair of sandals, and statement belt.
Sizing-wise, this dress is super accurate — I picked up a size 10R and the fit was great (I'm usually a 10 on top and 12 on the bottom). Some reviews on M&S's website describe the dress as coming up big, so depending on how you like your dresses to fit, I would opt for your standard size or a size down. For those shorter in height, pick up the dress in M&S's petite range; I'm 5'4 for reference and wore the regular length, as I prefer a longer style.
The material of this spring number is also something worth shouting about. Made from a super soft, lightweight, textured fabric, it's extremely comfortable and easy to wear. Ideal for warmer weather, it's airy and cool on the skin, and the relaxed cut teamed with the breathable fabric makes it super easy to manoeuvre in.
Overall, it's an absolute winner as far as comfortable, stylish spring dresses go, and will no-doubt sell out fast from M&S. So if you're in the market for a versatile yet chic midi to carry you through the summer months, I suggest snapping up this little number fast.
✋ Reasons to avoid
If you're not a fan of a relaxed cut and puff sleeves (which I know isn't for everyone) then this dress probably isn't quite right for you. But the good news is, M&S has a whole range of great value spring dresses in different prints and styles, so you're bound to find something you love.
