Maya Jama is giving sexy bridal vibes in a completely see-through lace dress
The Cannes Film Festival is well underway, and its reputation for providing insane fashion moments is certainly holding up if the latest red carpet looks are anything to go by. As well as Jennifer Lawrence rocking two stunning looks in one day, Dua Lipa wore an under-boob baring cut-out black gown, Elle Fanning wowed in a nipple pasty disco dress, and Irina Shayk took the barely-there trend to new heights in a micro leather bra top and matching low rise skirt.
And those are just the daytime 'fits. The festival also hosts plenty of parties after dark, giving stars the chance to really turn up the heat like Ashley Graham, who wore an underwear-revealing sheer glitter mini by Prada to a Vanity Fair party the other evening.
Maya Jama definitely got the memo for the Vogue x Chopard party last night, arriving in a white see-through lace dress that was giving sexy bridal vibes.
Never one to disappoint on the fashion front (think back to all her Love Island lewks), Maya looked stunning in an Aadnevik intricate white French lace gown. The luxury London-based brand was established in 2013 by a husband and wife design duo, and their designs have been worn by the likes of Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, and Selena Gomez.
Maya's dress is from the label's AW22 collection and retails for £17,500. Though given just how detailed the dress is, the price tag is hardly surprising. The deep-V corseted bodice and asymmetric skirt with a thigh-high slit are made entirely from see-through embroidered lace. Braided leather shoulder straps and a waist belt toughen up the ruffle-trimmed skirt that is decorated with hand-crafted 3D silk flowers. A large corsage also adorns one shoulder of the dress (they're everywhere right now – just ask Katy Perry). Maya finished the ensemble with silver heeled sandals.
Aadnevik is known for having a romantic aesthetic and paired with the white colour palette and lace fabrication of the dress, Maya is giving bridal vibes in the sheer gown – but with a sexy twist. Her look is hitting somewhere between wedding gown and bridal lingerie and we are here for it.
Here's another angle of the dress from the 'BOSS Loves Naomi' birthday party for Naomi Campbell Maya attended later that same evening. When a dress is *that* good, it deserves to be worn to multiple parties.
This is the third see-through dress Maya has worn in as many days. For the Vanity Fair Cannes party, she donned a Dolce & Gabbana black sheer off-the-shoulder fishtail gown complete with matching opera gloves.
And just days before, Maya wore an optical illusion Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a green and purple striped print. The dress was ever so slightly sheer, showing the white underwear she wore underneath.
See-through dresses are a HUGE trend this season, and it goes without saying Maya is nailing it every time. We can't wait to see what she wears next.
