This Meadow is a lark: Meet a dog who faced adversity with an abundance of joy, love

Meadow

Breed: Pit bull terrier mix

Age: 2 years old

Meadow is a fun, silly, happy dog who loves everyone she meets. She really is quite a remarkable gal. She’s been through a lot of tough times and instability in her precious life.

Earlier this year, she was saved by animal control after experiencing a trauma to her head that led to a seizure and visual impairment. She’s grateful to the people who rescued her, as well as the Wayside veterinary staff who saved her life. There is a reason she’s still here. The Wayside staff and volunteers like to think it’s because she was meant to be your dog.

She’s adapting amazingly well to all the changes she’s been through. She hopes you will notice how special she is, then decide to give her a chance. That’s all she needs. She’ll take things from there. She can’t wait to be your dog.
