Meet The Brand Behind ELLE’s Pop-Up ShowroomSupplied

We’ve all felt the ‘decision fatigue’ that sets in when you’re trying to fill those seemingly simple gaps in your wardrobe, only to be bombarded with flash-in-the-pan fast fashions and influencer collaborations.

It can make what should be an enjoyable process utterly infuriating. To make things simpler – and more accessible – I’ve created a capsule wardrobe of modern, elegant essentials: The Showroom Edit.

Fit for every woman, these are pieces that can subtly elevate your wardrobe, no matter your personal style.

The brand responsible for them, you might be surprised to learn, is Tu.

The Showroom Edit debuted at a special pop-up store in central London (open 3-5 October). For the opening, we decided to focus on the intrinsic value of the clothing, presenting the edit without a label attached.

It’s particularly meaningful – in my humble opinion – for this collaboration to involve a brand such as Tu, which might have been unfairly overlooked by the ‘fashion crowd’.

When pulling together the edit, I was impressed by the quality, style and cuts of the Tu collection. I found the construction of the garments to be solid: the denim, for example, is thick and sturdy; the satin is super soft; and the knits are thick and luscious – just as you’d want for your winter wardrobe.

Price points are always key in the democratisation of style. Fashion should be accessible to all, without compromising on quality.

The Showroom Edit proves this is achievable. I wanted the styling to feel classic but contemporary, focusing on tonal dressing – one of the simplest ways to elevate a look. For daytime, I loved the rich, tactile palette of brown pieces and the sporty edge of the denim and blue styles. The all-black pieces are perfect for party season – especially the leather-look and crocodile skin-effect trousers, which are cut so well.

Polished with a no-nonsense, easy-to-wear vibe, they’re also fairly priced and inclusive, with pieces available in sizes 8-24.

Moreover, you don’t need to upend your style to make these pieces work; their versatility means they’ll slot easily into your already-loved wardrobe, whatever the occasion. Effortless, affordable, ELLE-approved – and ready for you to discover for yourself.
