Megan Thee Stallion Is Making Nail Belts a Thing

The simple, humble belt deserves its place in the fashion accessory hall of fame. Sure, it does a great job at its primary function, holding your pants in place, but it's also a genius styling tool that can transform your entire outfit in a cinch. Remember when we belted everything back in the 2010s? Now, Megan Thee Stallion is taking that concept one step further and making nail belts a thing—and it's much less weird than it sounds, promise.
The rapper is currently enjoying time in South Korea and sharing tons of photos of her adventures, not to mention her ever-changing outfits and hairstyles. In the most recent photo dump, Megan's nails are a bright cobalt blue shade in her preferred long square shape, but if you look closer (and swipe through a few photos), there's more going on than meets the eye. Several fingers are a sold blue, but two fingers on each hand have a special detail: a red 3D “belt” winds its way across the entire nail, dotted with gold dots and complete with a miniature, but extremely lifelike buckle. From far away, it looks like simple nail art, but it's totally delightful when you zoom in, taking an everyday item and elevating it. Why wouldn't your nails need a belt?
Megan paired her manicure with hip-length, super sleek hair and brow-length bangs, a hairstyle that was the perfect foundation for her enormous plaid Jean Paul Gaultier hat. Another adorable blink-and-you'll-miss-it detail of her look? Her lashes! The rapper applied a handful of clumped singles to her lower lashline for an extra-fluttery, mod moment.
Celebs have been giving us tons of nail art inspo lately. The other famous Megan, Megan Fox, announced her pregnancy with a studded French manicure, and Beyoncé went for a subtle look with a teeny “Mom” decal on her opal nails. Megan's manis are always on point, but we're still thinking about her glass nails, not to mention the colorblocked, modern-art-inspired set or the stripey French tips, also from her Seoul trip. The Megan Thee Stallion Nail Art Hall of Fame just keeps growing and growing!
