Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have moved stateside, but it’s not stopping them from championing the causes close to their hearts back in the U.K.

In their first British TV appearance since leaving the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke to the Evening Standard to discuss their hopes for racial equality and ending “structural racism in Britain.”

The video call came as the royal couple helped kick off Black History Month in the U.K., where they shared a list of inspiring Next Gen Trailblazers working to end systemic racism within British society.

“While it has been challenging for a lot of people certainly having to make this reckoning of historical significance that has got people to the place that they are, that is uncomfortable for people. We recognise that. It is uncomfortable for us,” explained the Duchess.

“I think it is a really exciting time in British culture and British history, and in world culture. This is a real moment that we should be grasping and actually celebrating. Because no one else has managed to do this before us,” added the Duke.

To mark the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex chose a striking asymmetrical top by Haitian-born designer Victor Glemaud and a pair of matching tan leather pants.

Retailing for $498 ($375 USD), the Slash Long Sleeve Top might be out of the budget for many fans of Markle’s look, but luckily it features one of 2020’s hottest fall trends so you can still shop plenty of similar styles for less.
