According to the Daily Mail, Mulroney and her husband, Ben, will join their royal besties on their first official visit to Australia in an “unofficial” capacity (meaning they pay their own way).

Thirty eight-year-old Mulroney isn’t just Markle’s longtime best friend, she’s also the Duchess of Sussex’s stylist. Given that Markle and Prince Harry have 76 engagements during their 16 day tour, Mulroney’s presence will definitely be a help to her busy pal.

Markle and Prince Harry will visit Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand and will help host the Invictus Games, Prince Harry’s international adaptive multi-sport event for injured or wounded veterans and servicepersons.

Although relatively unknown to international audiences, many Canadians are already very familiar with the Mulroney family.

Forty two-year-old Ben Mulroney is a popular television host and the son of former Canadian prime minister, Brian Mulroney. Ben currently hosts the Canadian entertainment news show “eTalk” and the daily news show, “Your Morning.”

Jessica Mulroney, formerly Jessica Brownstein, is a fashion stylist and PR manager who’s family owns the Canadian chain of shoe stores, Browns Shoes. The stylist makes regular appearances as a lifestyle expert on the Canadian television show “CityLine.”

Ben and Jessica Mulroney’s love story is just as romantic as that of their famous friends. The two met when they were just 17 and 15 years old at a mutual friend’s party. It wasn’t until 2007 when Ben finally mustered up enough courage to ask his “long-time crush” out on a date.

Their first date featured sushi and karaoke, during which Ben sang Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York.” Nine months later, Ben proposed at Chez Nick, a popular Montreal diner they had both gone to as children. In 2008 they were married at St. Patrick’s Basilica in Montreal, celebrating their marriage in an upscale three-day event with 350 guests.

The Mulroneys now call Toronto home and are raising their three children while maintaining bustling, high-profile careers and friendships. Despite their life looking idyllic online, Jessica told a Toronto Life reporter it’s not all it appears.

“With social media, people assume your life is perfect from pictures, but there are so many challenges,” Jessica said. “We don’t sleep a lot, we hope to god that we’re doing this parenting thing right, and we’re constantly asking ourselves whether all of this work is worth it. We’re very lucky, but it’s definitely not perfection.”

Maybe not perfection — but pretty darn close.

The Mulroneys are sure to be catapulted to a new level of fame after their children make their international television debut at the royal wedding!
