Meghan Markle Gives a Glimpse Into Her Sunday Morning in the Kitchen, Making Breakfast with Her ‘Bestie’

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a series of posts on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 23, featuring herself in the kitchen with one of her “besties,” Kelly McKee Zajfen. In the first clip, Zajfen can be seen adding the finishing touches on a sliced banana sprinkled with what appears to be Meghan’s As Ever brand jam and honey.
“When one of the besties reinvents a banana split for breakfast,” Meghan captioned the post.
The next clip shows Meghan — who is wearing a casual beige tank and white linen pants — next to Zajfen as they cheers their forks and take a bite. “So good!” Meghan exclaims. She captioned the clip, “Happy Sunday!”

Meghan Markle and Kelly McKee Zajfen's banana breakfastThe friends are known to show their support for each other, often uniting to champion charitable organizations and endeavors. In October 2024, Meghan attended the Children’s Hospital Gala in Los Angeles with Zajfen, who advocates for the hospital as a heart ambassador.
Earlier that year, Zajfen — who is also the co-founder of Alliance of Moms, an organization that supports pregnant and parenting teens in the foster care system in L.A. — posted a birthday tribute to Meghan's husband, Prince Harry, on Instagram, and shared just how much she values the couple’s friendship and support.
“Harry and Meghan, you have been such a guiding light for our family not just in the way you have shown up in friendship but how you have shown up through the incredible work The Archewell Foundation does everyday. I’m in awe of your commitment to community and to friendship," she wrote at the time.

That same month, Harry, 40, and Meghan attended a benefit in honor of Zajfen’s son George, who died suddenly of a viral infection at the age of 9 in 2022.

At the time, Zajfen noted that the funds raised that day from donors including the Archewell Foundation would go “directly to supporting children in foster care, ensuring they have the legal protections, resources and opportunities they deserve in honor of our beautiful son Georgie."
Most recently, Zajfen appeared as a guest on Meghan’s Netflix show With Love, Meghan for the episode titled “Surprise and Delight.”
