On Saturday, Meghan Markle shared a new photo of Princess Lilibet on Instagram in honour of International Women’s Day, subtly comparing it to a photo of herself as a child. The Instagram carousel opens with the black-and-white pic of Meghan playing on a lawn when she was Lilibet’s age, followed by a selfie taken with her own mother, Doria Ragland.

In the third image, Lilibet is curled up in her dad’s lap. Prince Harry is seated on a boat, wearing a white polo, striped shorts, a baseball cap, and sunglasses. He leans down to kiss Lilibet’s head. The young princess is wearing a bright pink shirt and a floral pattern pair of leggings. In the final image, Harry has his arms wrapped around Meghan as they take in a gorgeous beach. She has on a ruffled black sundress with a straw hat and is smiling happily.

In the caption, the Duchess of Sussex wrote, 'Happy International Women’s Day! Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. Also thanking those who uplift us every day.'

In an appearance this week on The Drew Barrymore, Meghan shared a bit more about her children, answering questions on Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s accent, which apparently wavers from British to American.

'Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say zeh-bra [for zebra] and what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him, and I think it’s adorable,' she explained.

On Monday, in an interview with People, Meghan shared, 'When your children get to a certain age — when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again — it’s super joyful. As a woman, a mum and a wife, to be able to find yourself again—in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older—is a wonderful feeling.'
