Meghan Markle shows Prince Harry her goosebumps while watching the Ubunye Choir

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out for a moving visit to the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition, which had its grand opening at London’s Southbank Centre on Tuesday (July 17). During their visit, the royal couple were serenaded by the South African Ubunye Choir, and a photographer caught a special moment between Meghan Markle and her husband as the performance moved her to chills.

During the presentation, Meghan can be seen turning to Prince Harry and showing him her arm, implying that the song was giving her goosebumps. In their typically charming way, Harry looked down at his wife and smiled understandingly – they were both overwhelmed by the passionate performance, which was the cherry on top of an inspiring day out in London.

The exhibit celebrates the life of Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s iconic former president. The affectionate couple stopped at each of the exhibit’s six sections, exploring Nelson as a freedom fighter, comrade, leader, prisoner, negotiator and statesman. The project was a collaboration between the Apartheid Museum in South Africa, the British Anti-Apartheid Movement Archives and the Southbank Centre.

Wherever the couple goes, the charming pair brings their passion for causes close to their hearts. Their visit saw the couple meet with survivors of the apartheid movement, including Andrew Mlangeni, 92, who spent 26 years imprisoned on Robben Island after being accused of sabotage against the apartheid government in 1938. The duke and duchess also had the incredible opportunity to chat with Nelson’s granddaughter, Zamaswazi Dlamini-Mandela.

Of course, wherever Meghan goes she is sure to bring her fashion savvy with her. On this day, the 36-year-old expertly meshed both British and Canadian brands, dazzling in a pink trench coat by Calgary’s own NONIE and a matching bag by UK label Mulberry. She anchored the look with a pair of beige Dior ‘Essence’ pumps and frosted her earlobes with Birks Bee Chic White Quartz earrings.
