Meghan Markle's latest look is a far cry from her normal beauty routine

Meghan Markle’s royal style is evolving – and that includes her make-up.

The trend-setting royal arrived to a charity performance of Cirque du Soleil’s show “Totem” at the Royal Albert Hall in London alongside husband, Prince Harry, wearing an eye-catching sequined gown by Roland Mouret.

The navy ensemble hugged the expectant duchess’s growing baby bump, however it was Markle’s rich berry lip shade that set the look apart. Paired with her trademark bronzer and natural glowing skin, the look was indeed a departure for the mom-to-be, but a sophisticated choice for a night at the theatre.

While the 37-year-old typically keeps her make-up fresh and natural, her latest look is as bold as the royal is willing to go.

“The one time she did a red lip, she just didn’t feel comfortable in it,” Markle’s longtime make-up artist, Daniel Martin told People magazine. “She likes to talk and she’s not a fussy person, so she doesn’t want to worry about anything.”

A sheer berry hue is the perfect alternative to a classic red lip. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite lip colours below so you can get the royal-look on your own!
