Meghan McCain storms off 'The View' set after clash with Ana Navarro

The View” wrapped up its week with a bang after an explosive exchange between Meghan McCain and guest co-host Ana Navarro that caused McCain to storm off set.

During a tense conversation about the recent news that an anonymous whistleblower brought forward a complaint alleging an improper interaction between President Donald Trump and a foreign leader, McCain raised her voice and shouted “excuse me” as the other co-hosts talked over each other.

“You know, I’m two feet away. You don’t need to scream at me this way,” Navarro shot back. Seemingly thrown off by Navarro’s reaction, McCain replied, “I don’t know what you just said.”

“I said, ‘Don’t scream at me. I’m two feet away,’” repeated Navarro to the sound of gasps from the audience. Co-host Joy Behar attempted to smooth things over by taking the show to commercial, but McCain could be heard saying, “That’s so rude, Ana.” McCain added, “Welcome back,” referring to Navarro’s absence from the Hot Topics Table this season.

As the show went to break, McCain could be seen storming off set to looks of shock from the studio audience.

After the show, McCain took to Twitter to assure fans she’s doing just fine:
