She's just *really* excited about the group's 30th anniversary.

Everyone has that one person in their group of friends that struggles with keeping exciting news top secret. For the Spice Girls, Mel B is that friend — so much so, that when she accidentally let their plans for a 30th anniversary celebration accidentally slip, she was kicked out of the Spice Girls' WhatsApp group chat altogether.

During her Apr. 4 appearance on Britain’s This Morning, Brown revealed that spilling the beans about the Spice Girls' anniversary plans led to her untimely exit from the girl group's WhatsApp chat.

“That always happens to me,” Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, said in response to the allegation. “Because I say things. You know, I get so excited when it comes to Spice Girls, because it is 30 years. And, you know, we’ve got a lot to celebrate — the fact that we’re all still healthy and living life and are talking still. It’s nice. So, I can’t say anything else to get myself kicked out!”

The latest conversation in question that got Mel B removed happened during her appearance on on the U.K. talk show Loose Women back in March. Scary Spice confirmed that a reunion is  “definitely” happening this year — co-host Christine Lampard said, “We need happiness, we need empowerment back again, we need Spice Girls back, basically,” to which Brown excitedly replied, “Tell me about it. We are definitely doing something.”

She was aware that she had slipped up, later adding, “I’m probably going to get told off [for revealing that], but I’ve said it. There you go. I’m in trouble now.”

This isn't the first time that Scary had been kicked out, either — in 2019, she teased more reunion possibilities in her appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show while talking about the Spice Girls' tour (which they performed without Victoria Beckham). “We are wanting to do something and we are but I can’t really tell you because I’ll get kicked out of the WhatsApp group again so I have to be really careful,” she explained.

Despite paying the price for having a loose tongue, Mel B is giving fans the news they want to hear. While news of the anniversary happening are (mostly) under wraps, chances are Scary will slip more details in the future: "I’m a very honest person, so I can’t lie,” she said on The Jonathan Ross Show.
