Melissa McCarthy’s Daughter Made a Rare Appearance at the ‘Little Mermaid’ Premiere
Melissa McCarthy stepped out for the premiere of The Little Mermaid this week and brought her family along for the ride! The Ursula actor was photographed with her husband Ben Falcone and their 13-year-old daughter Georgette—who rarely makes public appearances with her parents.
Georgette ended up posing with her mom and dad on the red carpet, wearing a super-cool ruffled gown that I need in my life immediately.
Melissa recently chatted about how attached she is to her kids (she also has an older daughter named Vivian!) with People, joking that they’ll never leave home. “Nope, because it’s never going to happen,” she said. “One of my daughters was talking about maybe going to school in Scotland. And literally, Ben’s like, ‘Your lip’s twitching.’ Then she did walk past me the next day and she was like, ‘Mama, no. You’re looking up apartments in Scotland.’ And I was like, ‘I can get an apartment in Scotland. You can’t legally stop me.’”
Melissa also spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the Little Mermaid red carpet, saying, “I think that for me, there’s something special about this one. If we haven’t been a parent, we’ve all had parents. We’ve all wrestled with what that is. We’ve all longed to figure out what’s the life I want, which is really the key story that in this, I feel like it’s more modern than it was in the original, just in terms of really carving out the life you choose to have for yourself. And I just think that’s so relevant and necessary for today that I think it’s gonna bring people a lot of joy.”
Cannot wait to watch! Will just close my eyes when Flounder comes on the screen.
