Michelle Yeoh is new face of Helena Rubinstein

Michelle Yeoh has became the new face of Helena Rubinstein.

The 61-year-old Bond girl - known for her role in 007 blockbuster 'Tomorrow Never Dies', as well as the likes of 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', 'Crazy Rich Asians' and 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' - has signed on to join forces with the brand.

In a statement, Helena Rubinstein said: "This collaboration is the result of an unprecedented encounter harmoniously merging the pioneering spirit of the avant-garde beauty brand and the inspiring journey of Michelle Yeoh.

“Entering a new era together, Helena Rubinstein continues to invent beauty that allows women to reach new heights.”

The brand - which has been around for 132 years, and owned by L'Oreal since 1984 - is a major force in the global skincare industry.

As reported by Women's Wear Daily, Helena Rubinstein's key markets include South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and mainland China.

The company explained that Yeoh shares the same values of determination, daring, resilience and self-confidence.

They added: "In addition to being the first Asian actress to win an Oscar, Time Magazine’s 2022 Icon of the Year, being a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and being elected to the 2024 International Olympic Committee, she is recognised worldwide as an exceptional role model for women."

Michelle previously revealed that the "best thing" about her recent award show success is that she is no longer only getting scripts for "Asian-looking" characters.

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival last year, she said: "The best thing that has happened is I receive a script that doesn’t describe the character as a Chinese or Asian-looking person.

"We are actors. We are supposed to act. We are supposed to step into roles that are given to us and do our job as best we can. That, for me, is the biggest step forward.”
