Michelle Yeoh has a knack for wow-worthy red carpet moments, so when it was announced that last year's Best Actress winner would be a presenter during the Academy Awards ceremony tonight, it was all but guaranteed that fans were in for something special. Suffice to say, the star did not disappoint, walking the red carpet in a glamorous, two-tone sequined gown in shades of silver and pewter with a sweeping train by Balenciaga and Cindy Chao Diamond Foliage Earrings. She paired the one shoulder, cowl-necked, goddess style gown with classic black opera gloves, offset with a bangle, and black heels with a pointed toe.

Last year, when she took home her first Oscar, becoming the first Asian actress to do so, Yeoh selected an ethereal white Dior haute couture gown with tiers of ruffles and feathers. "For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight—this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof that—dream big, and dreams do come true," she said in the acceptance speech for her historic win. "And ladies, don't let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. Never give up!"

It was a sentiment she had previously shared with T&C, saying in our September 2022 cover story, "This story is not about me. This story is about many people—mothers, aunties, women out there who walk by you in the supermarket unnoticed. They never have a voice. They’re never the superheroes."
