Miley Cyrus And Maxx Morando Make Their Awards Show Debut As A Couple At The 2025 Oscars
Miley Cyrus wore multiple black dresses at last month’s Grammy Awards. Last night, the singer was back on the red carpet continuing the trend for the 2025 Oscars, where she was presenting. She arrived in wearing a glittery halter gown by Alexander McQueen, paired with lace gloves and bleached brows for an edgy spin on the otherwise elegant ensemble.
Cyrus posed for photographers with her boyfriend, Maxx Morando, marking their first time posing on an awards show red carpet together.
Cyrus unfortunately did not receive an Oscar nomination for The Last Showgirl’s 'Beautiful That Way.' She did, however, receive a Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards nomination for Best Song.

In December, Cyrus broke her silence on the nods, saying, 'It’s an honour to be nominated for Best Original Song alongside my friends and collaborators Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. Pamela [Anderson] is graciously sharing her moment with us. I am continuing to root for her, it’s so fun to watch her shine. Thank you Gia Coppola for inviting me to be a part of your gem The Last Showgirl.'
Cyrus is fresh off a Grammy win with her longtime friend Beyoncé — the pair won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for 'II Most Wanted.' After the ceremony, Cyrus reflected on her achievement, sharing a message to Beyoncé and the other artists who were nominated but didn’t take home any awards.
She wrote on Instagram, 'Having your name called is an honour that deserves to be celebrated. Just remember for those who don’t, nothing can take away the love and devotion you put into your art. I celebrate the unrecognised artists that created something beautiful and shared it with us. Thank you @beyonce for inviting me to be a part of your iconic Cowboy Carter era. Love you forever.'
Cyrus is gearing up to release her next album, Something Beautiful. She told Harper’s Bazaar that the project is 'inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall. We really leaned in. And so I have this heart-first attachment to it. My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.'
It is designed to be 'hypnotising,' Cyrus added, calling it 'a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.'
