Miranda Lambert Picks Up a "Cool" New Hobby and Family Member
At 40, Miranda Lambert is entering a new decade in her life, and she's pushing herself to try new things. As for her latest hobby, Lambert has picked up mounted shooting. This hobby involves shooting a gun while riding a horse, so, of course, she'll need a specially trained horse, who won't be spooked by the sound of gunshots. Lambert announced to fans this week that she found her horse match made in heaven, appropriately named Cool.
"Y’all please welcome the newest member of our farmily. This is 'Cool.' He is one of the sweetest horses I’ve ever met. He does it all with grace and patience and has already taught me so much. In the last few months I’ve picked up the hobby of mounted shooting and in the process I’ve made some amazing new friends including this handsome fella. He came at the perfect time in my life when I needed a challenge and to try something new. I turned 40 in November and I’m ready for a decade of pushing myself to be better and bolder both personally and professionally. This feels like the perfect beginning to that journey. Thanks to my great friend @kenda_lenseigne for this match made in cowgirl heaven. Mark and Karen Plumlee loved this horse so much and are kind enough to trust me with him for his next adventures. Y’all get ready it’s gettin country and western around here! 🧡🐴 #CoolTheCadillac #CoolLambert #arizona," Lambert captioned her post sharing photos and videos of Cool set to the tune of "If I Had A Boat" by Lyle Lovett.
Miranda Lambert is a textbook animal lover, so we're sure Cool will be living the high life just like the rest of her pets. Lambert's fans gushed over her newest animal in the comments: "He is perfect 😍😍😍❤❤❤," "Nothing better than a new horsey buddy 😍" and "@mirandalambert, good for you trying some new adventures! 🙌," they wrote.
Miranda is even roping in her New York City-slicker husband, Brendan McLoughlin, into her cowgirl antics. Lambert shared photos of her and her husband (and Cool) on horseback in Arizona back in April. "Kenda, you made a cowboy out of our NYC boy. 😂🤠🐴," she wrote at the time.
Although Lambert's The Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas Residency is wrapping up next month, it seems she'll still be spending plenty of time out west in Arizona, working on her new cowgirl moves and visiting Cool.
