Missing girl Greenwich - latest: Six-year-old found ‘safe and well’, police say

A six-year-old who went missing in Greenwich has been found “safe and well,” the Met Police said this morning.

Officers had been urgently searching for Eudine after she was reported missing from the Thamesmead Estate on Monday 29 July at 10.40pm, the Metropolitan Police said.

The Met Police’s Greenwich borough unit posted on X at 9.39am: “We are very pleased to report that six-year-old Eudine has been found safe and well. Thanks very much to everyone who shared the appeal.”

Eudine had been captured on CCTV walking alone in Defence Close, Thamesmead at around midday.

In the footage, the young girl is seen alone in her pyjamas as she watches a passer-by walk past her. She then continues to walk along the pavement, though appears to stumble often as she walks.

Local people in Thamesmead and nearby areas were asked to check gardens, sheds and locked areas, as well as any CCTV or doorbell footage.

The young girl, who measures between 3’6” and 4’ tall, is thought to be wearing a light pink, long sleeved pyjama set and carrying a white shoulder bag with a daisy design.
