This Mom's Hilarious Excuse for Her Daughter's Tardiness Is Just So Perfect
As all parents know, mornings rarely go as planned. Most days you can expect a fight to get out of bed, a struggle to get dressed, and an existential crisis over breakfast-and that's just you. Never mind that after the 10 fits your kid has thrown by 7 a.m., you feel like you deserve an Olympic medal (or at least a large cup of coffee).
Reddit user Colieoh recently shared a photo of her friend signing her daughter in late to school with the world's most relatable reason for being tardy: "bad parenting." It seems like the type of excuse one of the characters in the movie Bad Moms would've given, and we are all about it.
With more than 4,000 upvotes and100 comments, it's clear that this mother's honesty resonated with a lot of parents out there. As hard as we try to be perfect moms, there are just some days where nothing seems to go right and getting them to school at all is a major feat.
But that's why it's so important to laugh about our mistakes and celebrate even the smallest of successes. So, in the spirit of "bad parenting," here are a few of our favorite tweets that capture the daily challenges even the best moms and dads face in the mornings:
Practiced our school morning routine today, so I hid one of each kid's shoes, spilled cereal, & had the toddler throw my keys in the trash.

How many of you woke up to "Mommy are you UP?!?" yelled at your door this morning? My answer is always, "No."

Typical morning of a parent:
Get coffee.
Tell kid to get dressed for the 10th time.
Reheat coffee.
Get in the car.
Forget coffee.- Sarcastic Mommy (@sarcasticmommy4) January 12, 2017
Me: Get out of bed.
