Monty Don will explore Britain's best gardens in a new five-part BBC series.
Airing this month, Monty Don's British Gardens will follow the presenter as he visits over 60 gardens across Britain, from residential plots to the grandest of grounds.

When does Monty Don's British Gardens air?
The series will air on BBC Two on Fridays at 8pm. The first episode will hit screens on Friday 10th January 2025 and will also be available to watch on iPlayer.
What is Monty Don's British Gardens about?
Beautiful British gardens are the star of the show. Monty will start in Scotland and Northumberland, before travelling across the north of England and Northern Ireland, also visiting Wales, Norfolk and London. Episode five concludes with a trip across the South West of England.
The Gardeners' World presenter will also pay a visit to some of King Charles' private gardens at Brikhall on the Balmoral Estate. Other episodes will take Monty to Sissinghurst Gardens and Great Dixter — the family home of gardener and writer Christopher Lloyd.
Speaking to Gardens Illustrated, Monty said creating the show's narrative has been "tricky" but also "fascinating".
He said: "The difficulty of a British garden is that it's homogenous. All British gardens share similar characteristics, and that's partly to do with our climate, partly to do with the fact we have a certain style and we can grow so many plants."
Monty added that the filming process was "fascinating" but also "challenging".
"There's barely a good British garden that isn't full of all kinds of perennials, ranging from Knepp to Wollerton Old Hall. When you start looking at them, as I have done the last 12 months, there's a lot of similarity. To craft a five-hour narrative was a bit more tricky. But I think we've done it, and it's been fascinating."
