Mark Duplass is getting real about anxiety and depression.

On Friday, the actor, 46, shared a detailed post on his Instagram, revealing a lifetime of navigating mental health issues. He reminded others they are not alone and urged people to reach out for help if needed.

"I have been struggling with anxiety and depression for most of my life," Duplass began. "Sometimes it's just a subtle feeling that something deep inside is wrong. Sometimes it's a little stronger, and it affects my ability to function properly. And sometimes it comes barging through my front door and pins me to the ground for an unknown and seemingly insurmountable amount of time."

Alongside the caption, he posted a close-up of himself in a tuxedo, smiling into the camera.

"When I see pictures of myself like this one, I can see the fear and sadness behind the smile," he admitted of the seemingly perfect shot. "Even at my most 'happy' times. But at times like these, when the world is so deeply terrifying and saddening, it's a struggle just to stay on my feet and keep from crashing."

Duplass continued, "And this is from the perspective of someone with years of experience dealing with this and excellent support systems... daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep, the right medication, a great therapist, a family who loves and supports me, the ability to eat healthy foods, etc. So I wanted to take a moment to send my love and support to all of you who may be dealing with something similar."

"I know we've heard all the platitudes before, but sometimes it's good to hear them again," he concluded at the bottom of his post, reminding others, "You are not alone. There is help. This will pass. And if you find yourself descending to someplace new and scary, please text/call/chat '988' and there is someone available 24/7 to help."

"Sending you all a big blast of resilience, light and love," he added.

"❤️ you 🙏🏼," his costar on The Morning Show Jennifer Aniston wrote in the comments. The subject matter is very similar to issues tackled on the hit Apple TV+ show and numerous followers did not hesitate to express how much this share meant to them.

"I’m crying. I am so exhausted," one fan wrote. "I don’t know how much longer I can keep fighting this. But I really needed it. You may never see this, but this helped me through a moment I didn’t know if I could make it through."

Added another, "I’ve been in the middle of a breakdown for the last week and I cannot express how much it means to me to see this on my feed right now from someone I so respect. Thank you."
