These are the most expensive ZIP codes in Kansas, new report says. How pricey are they?
You don’t need to pay a million dollars for a home in the most expensive parts of Kansas, but the prices are certainly up there.
Real estate agency RealtyHop recently released its fifth annual Most Expensive ZIP Codes report, which analyzes ZIP codes nationwide. The real estate agency gathered the data by examining median listing prices for all types of homes in all United States ZIP codes between Jan. 1 and Oct. 15.
Its staff then ranked the three most expensive ZIP codes in each state. The rankings exclude single-building ZIP codes in each state.
The most expensive ZIP codes in Kansas are all in the Kansas City metro. While they’re the most expensive in the area, homes there cost less than half of the median for the most expensive ZIP code in each state. Three Johnson County ZIP codes have the most expensive median home values in Kansas:
The ZIP codes are located in cities such as Leawood, Overland Park and Shawnee Mission.
The report found that the priciest ZIP codes in the U.S. are coastal, wealthy enclaves or luxury vacation destinations where homes can cost more than $4 million. The median price for the most expensive ZIP code in each state is $1.55 million, RealtyHop said.
On the lower end, 72758 in Rogers, Arkansas, is the least expensive ZIP code on the real estate agency’s list, with a median list price of $408,403.
As for the most expensive, 94027 in Atherton, California, is the most priciest ZIP code in America, with a median home price of $7,750,000. It’s the fifth consecutive year being the most expensive in the country.
The most expensive ZIP code in Missouri is 63124 in St. Louis, where the median list price is $1,018,500.
