A mum who went viral for face planting during a sports day race at her child’s school which exposed her bottom says she’s still turning down dates nearly a year on.
Katie Hannaford, 37, was participating in her daughter’s sports day on June 15 last year when the incident occurred. Footage of her fall went viral on social media as she inadvertently showed off her bum to the whole crowd.

In the weeks that followed, Hannaford said she received 500 messages from men all over the world questioning how she could be single.
The mum-of-two from Basildon, Essex says she’s “single by choice” and has turned down “hundreds of offers of dates”.
“I don't get recognised in public any more, but I still get random messages on Instagram and Facebook most days,” she adds.
“They're predominantly men - asking how I'm still single, or telling me I have a nice a***. I've had some genuinely nice messages too - saying I'm a good sport about it.”
Hannaford says her daughters have seen the light side of the viral video, and still ask her to be in their TikTok videos.

“My daughters still find it funny and it still makes me laugh when I watch it too,” she continues.
“My youngest daughter wants me to be in all her TikTok videos because she thinks I'm famous! But I've promised them I'll never compete in another adults race again, even in shorts.
"A few weeks ago at my daughter’s dance competition, and there was a parents dance. I looked at my daughter like, ‘no I'm not doing it!'”

After the fall last year, Hannaford appeared on This Morning and said the fall felt as if it happened in slow motion.
She added: “It went in slo mo, so I felt it happen but didn’t feel the dress go over my head. It was only afterwards I thought, ‘Oh my God’ and pulled it down, obviously."
