My friends are all buying these slimming Old Navy jeans, and they're down to $17
The wide-leg style is on trend, forgiving and 'unbelievably flattering,' shoppers say.
I keep up with my old college roomies via a group chat where we share updates about life's big moments, from engagements to babies to new houses. But sometimes, we also share deals, clothing and gadgets that make our lives better. The latest recommendation from the group? Old Navy's High-Waisted Wow Wide-Leg Jeans — comfortable, flattering and on sale for as low as $17.
This washed black color is great for fall and winter — wear it with black booties to make your legs look like they go on for miles.
Why is this a good deal? 💰
Old Navy is known for affordable fashion, but at 50% off, these $17 jeans take it to another level. Keep in mind, the price varies a bit based on the color you choose, but you won't pay more than $18 and change. The sale lasts only for two more days, so if you're going to buy them, do it before the deal is gone.
Why do I need these? 🤔
When my friend Emily shared her love of Old Navy High-Waisted Wow Wide-Leg Jeans, a few of my friends said they had them too! And while they're marked down now, my pals paid full price and said they'd do it again — they love them that much.
The high waist helps suck everything in for a slimming fit, but the wide leg helps elongate your limbs. Additionally, they have a zip fly, pockets on the front and back and a little whiskering for a perfectly worn-in look. And we have to talk about the fabric! These jeans are durable but slightly stretchy and lightweight.
The jeans come in seven shades, three lengths and sizes 0-30. You're bound to find the perfect style for you — or a few! You can opt for your regular inseam or choose one that's a little longer if you like to wear your jeans with pumps or heeled booties.
What reviewers say 💬
Of course, these jeans have more fans than my friends. More than 8,200 Old Navy shoppers give them five stars.
Pros 👍
"Love the fit!" said one shopper. "A perfect width for a wide leg, not too wide or too narrow. The high waist is super flattering. Sometimes high-waist jeans can make me have more of a tummy, but these actually flatten my stomach and are so smoothing to the waist. A big fan of these jeans!"
"I am in my 50s and have been only wearing skinny jeans for the last several years," wrote another fan. "I was in Old Navy and saw these. I tried them on and loved them. Pair them with black chunky penny loafers and it will take you back to the '90s. So glad I found them!"
"I love these so much, I bought multiple sizes in all colors and in two sizes," said a third reviewer. "They are slightly stretchy but not so much that they stretch out. They look good wash after wash. They fit really well for women who have larger thighs but don't look baggy at all. I have a small, flat waist but a bigger butt and thighs and these are so unbelievably flattering. ... They have some 'give' so are great if your weight fluctuates."
Cons 👎
While these jeans come in multiple lengths, some customers said they were in between sizes.
"Really like the style, but the regular length was way too long, and petite was too short," said one buyer.
"These were so soft! Really could have been the softest jeans I have ever put on. So bummed the length was off for me!" said another. "I either needed a couple inches longer or else a couple inches shorter to make these work. I'm 5'10" so if they had a longer length available, I would have purchased them, but unfortunately I had to return."
You can easily dress this versatile medium wash up or down, but there are darker washes if you like your denim a little less casual.
